Description

A healthier version of General Tso’s Chicken with a sugar-free sauce, perfect for a low-carb diet.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp minced ginger
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional for thickening)
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for cooking
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken pieces in soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes.
  3. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to make a slurry. Pour into the pan and stir until the sauce thickens.
  4. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a thicker sauce, increase cornstarch to 2 tbsp.
  • Adjust red pepper flakes for desired spiciness.
  • Serve with cauliflower rice for a complete low-carb meal.
